Tofte Lake Center Rental & Reservation Agreement:

We are so excited you will be in residence with us this summer! We kindly ask our residents to treat our facilities and property with the same care and respect we put into maintaing them for your pleasure and comfort.

Check-in/Check-out Time: Check-in time is Monday after 2pm.  Check-out time is Sunday by noon. Please drive up to the Treehouse to check in with TLC Director Liz Engelman.

Deposits/Payments: Half of the total balance must be received the day a reservation has been made along with your signed contract. The final payment must be received 30 days before your arrival.

Cancellation Policy: If you have a confirmed reservation and payment has been received you must immediately notify TLC if for some reason you cannot honor your obligation to occupy the property. It is required that all reservation cancellations be received in writing. TLC will make every possible effort to re-rent the property, however, if we cannot re-rent the property there will be no refund issued. If TLC is able to re-rent the property at full seasonal rates, you will receive a refund less $100 cancellation fee and $25 registration fee, which is non-refundable.

No illegal substances are permitted on the property.
Smoking is permitted outside only, on cabin decks and at the fire pit. 

The units are cleaned before and after you arrive. We ask that Guests leave the cabins in the condition they were in when they arrived.

Methods of payment: Payment is by checks only, made out to Tofte Lake Center. Payments made before June 1 should be sent to:

Pet Policy: Pets are allowed with prior approval. An extra $25 cleaning fee is required.

Property: Guests are advised that personal items lost or stolen are not the responsibility of TLC. Guests will have a set of keys and will be solely responsible for locking of the cabin should they choose, and for the safekeeping of their personal valuables during their visit.  In addition, TLC shall be held harmless from all claims or causes of actions arising from the rental and occupation of the cabin by Guest.

Damage Fee: If damage occurs during your stay, Guest must notify TLC office immediately to have the damage or loss covered. If malicious or intentional guest damage occurs, the Guest will reimburse TLC the full replacement costs including attorney’s fees.  

Maintenance: We strive to keep all cabins, equipment, and appliances in working order, and call for service as needed. TLC offers no discounts or refunds for equipment or appliance failure.

Entry and Inspection: TLC will have the right to enter the premises as deemed necessary. 


This agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, applicable to Agreements made and fully performed in Minnesota, by Minnesota residents.
